Oh boy. Wyoming had me feeling pretty loopy. Perhaps my grip on reality was at its loosest during my ride from Rawlins to Jeffrey City. You be the judge:
Luckily, that afternoon in the basement of the Jeffrey City Baptist Church I met a few other touring cyclists; Marion, David and Matt. Marion and David are a father and son pair, respectively. Matt is a young guy from New York. I think their presence saved me from going completely off the rails.
It's funny. I embarked on this journey because I had a desire to detach. I wished to detach from the city, from my home, from my community, from everything. Now that my wish has come true, I'm beginning to think that I needed to be careful what I wished for.
